
An Ordinary Life

NZCare provides services so that people with intellectual disability can have ordinary lives in the community. We support approximately 450 people in over 90 homes around the country.
Residential Services
Our residential services support people with intensive and complex needs. The services are individually tailored to ensure that the people we support have the right to have their lives taken seriously, to make enduring personal relationships, to have their cultural values respected, to be given opportunities to grow, learn and develop, and be valued by others.
Respite Services
We offer respite services that support people with Physical Disability in a residential setting and an ‘Out of Family’ respite service which take into consideration, family need, goals of clients, compatibility with other clients, gender, integration into community, liaison with day services, schools and specialist services.
High & Complex Services
NZCare offers intensive support to meet the specific needs of individuals with high and complex needs. Specifically, trained staff provide behaviour support that focuses on teaching new skills whilst maintaining safety.
Vocation/Day Services
People with disabilities are communicating that they want to determine their own futures and be treated as valued members of society.
